Account & data deletion
Pushytap is issued to you by your employer: accounts are created and closed by your organisation's control room, not by self sign-up. You can still ask for your account and the personal data held about you to be deleted — here is how.
How to request deletion
- Ask your control room first. An administrator can close your account immediately from the Pushytap web portal under People → your record → Deactivate and delete.
- Or email us directly. Send a request from the email address on your account to privacy@pushytap.com with the subject
Delete my account, including your full name and the organisation you work for. - We verify and confirm. We verify the request with you and with your organisation, then confirm by email once the deletion has run.
Requests are actioned within 30 days. Deleting your account signs you out of every handset and permanently disables radio access.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email, phone number, job title and photo.
- Your devices and push tokens, so the handset stops receiving alerts.
- Your presence and battery telemetry.
- Your location history, including patrol breadcrumbs and emergency trails.
- Notes you wrote and notifications addressed to you.
- Media you captured that is not attached to an incident or report.
What is kept, and why
Incident reports, patrol scans and completed forms
These are your employer's operational and legal records of what happened on site. They are kept under your employer's retention policy, with your name replaced by an anonymous reference once your account is deleted.
Attendance, timesheet and leave records
Retained where employment, payroll or tax law requires it.
Voice recordings of radio traffic
Kept only where your employer has enabled channel recording, for the retention period they set.
Retained records are held by your employer as the data controller. Backups are rotated out within 90 days.
Location data
The Pushytap field app collects your location in the background only while you are clocked on, walking a patrol round, or during an emergency alert — never at other times. It is shared only with your employer's control room, never with third parties or advertisers, and is deleted with your account.
